Venus and Adonis, two sculptures, interact with each other through a messengeresque platform.
This is an on-going exploration of technology as a medium to dive into deep emotional and cerebral realms while remaining still, creating the beginning of a dream-like environment where technology/internet is seen as the brain/synapses of this Earth/Gaia from which we connect even when physically isolated and motionless – like a storm growing from static.

Video with sound (HD) developed in artistic residence with the choreographer Iztok Kovac in colaboration with João Luz, film director.
“Since our previous art films (1995 – 2014) were always shot in abandoned industrial settings of my birth town I learned how much the rural environment can stimulate and influence artists (in our case dancers) to re-create their existing works within the new environment. So, I came to an idea to involve in my presentation some existing works from Oporto artistic community, to play the role of «mediator», rather (but also!) to just expose myself as an artist. To create and atmosphere within the local participants to meet, share and eventually evaluate in the new relationships. We would try to involve two or three existing art groups of experienced artists or maybe young people studying dance, music, film, visual arts, poetry…, who have a wish and capacity to perform, offering them to explore hangar of Cooperativa with me.” Iztok Kovac
